Christian Eriksen is reportedly set to secure a sensational return to the Premier League.

As reported by The temperature, the 29-year-old has been approached by several unnamed top-flight English clubs and could seal a return to the Premier League this week. Eriksen is also attracting interest from clubs across Europe, but he is eager to return to England.

Eriksen played for Tottenham between 2013 and 2020, during which time he made 305 appearances, scored 69 goals and provided 90 assists. He spent time training with Swiss club Chiasso and previously trained with Odense, where he played as a youngster.

Earlier this month, Antonio Conte said the door was still open for Eriksen at Tottenham.

Conte said: “I haven’t spoken with Christian recently. For sure, it was great, it was good, to see him on a pitch, to see him kicking a ball. We talk about ‘a really important player, but above all a top man.

“What happened this summer was not good, not good, for the people who worked with him and for the people who know him. I was scared at that time.

“And now to see him ready to play football again is great news. I think for Christian, the door is always open.

Eriksen has previously declared his desire to play for Denmark at the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

He said: “My goal is to play the World Cup in Qatar. I want to play. That’s been my mindset from the start. It’s a goal, a dream. That I’m chosen is something else. But it’s my dream to come back.

“I’m sure I can come back because I don’t feel any different. Physically, I’m back in great shape. That was my goal and there is still time, so until then I will just play football and prove that I am back to the same level.
