NFL (2 Units) Los Angeles Rams @ Tampa Bay Bucs -2.5 (-110): 2 p.m. CT on NBC
After getting back to winning ways yesterday, I’m relatively comfortable getting back to basics today. I will never erase Tom Brady in the divisional round for obvious reasons. The guy has basically owned it in any conference he’s played in since entering the league over 20 years ago. Couple that with the fact that I’m not a Matthew Stafford believer and this short spread is too good to pass on. I know the Bucs had to deal with injuries, but Brady at Evans was deadly when needed. Brady and the Bucs find a way to do it today against a strong Rams defense en route to another conference championship.
NFL (1.5 units) Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs -1 (-110): 3:30 p.m. CT on CBS
The Chiefs have been my pick to come out of the AFC all season, and with home advantage at Arrowhead, I’m not about to change that. I’m fully aware that when these two teams met earlier this season, the Bills beat the Chiefs, but that doesn’t scare me today. They are different teams than they were a few months ago, although both are moving in the right direction. I really feel like that gap would be bigger if it hadn’t been for the Bills’ loss to a fraudulent New England Patriots team last week, so I’m not going to drink the Buffalo Kool -Help. This game will by no means be an easy win for the Chiefs, but home advantage and Patrick Mahomes? Say no more.
No degenerate today.
